Winning teams play to win!

There are four main attributes of a winning team:

1. A winning team plays to win – team members realise that wins and losses are often determined by attitude alone. The difference between playing to win and playing not to lose is often the difference between success and mediocrity.
2. Winning teams take risks – take a risk and let what is meant to happen, happen. It will make the difference between a successful team and a mediocre one. It is far better to try and fail than to fail to try.
3. Winning team members care about each other – each member cares about the success of every other member.
4. Winning teams keep improving – it is hard to remain on top, there always someone below who is hungry for victory. They will make the necessary sacrifices and take the risks to get to the top. It is easier to win when you have got nothing to lose.

It never pays to rest on your laurels; you must be willing to give them up if you want to keep winning. The highest reward for man’s improvement is not what he gets for it; it’s what he becomes as a result of it. Ask yourself why you are trying to improve. It is to receive something for it or because it makes you a better person.
